Hi! I’m Vidya, a visual artist & graphic–web designer based in India.

Working at the intersection of still life painting and corporate graphic design. My path blends formal studies in business, marketing, and graphic design—completed between India and Canada—with over a decade of professional experience across visual communication, interactive design, digital media, and print-packaging.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with brands in Mumbai and Toronto, collaborating with agencies and in-house teams on large volumes of creative work. My roles have included design leadership, client communication, e-commerce design, social media campaigns, brand identity, presentations, and production-ready print files. This mix of corporate structure, creative problem-solving, and hands-on execution has shaped how I approach both design and fine art.

While building my design career, I continued studying traditional art fundamentals, exploring charcoal, graphite, mixed media, gesture drawing, and art history. Painting became a natural extension of this practice. My recent work focuses on atmospheric still life paintings, using everyday objects—especially pears—as a way to explore mood, texture, colour, and quiet emotional resonance.

My artistic practice continues to evolve as I experiment with different mediums and ways of seeing, combining the clarity and structure of design with the sensitivity and depth of fine-art technique. Creating work that sits between these two worlds—intuitive and intentional—is where I feel most at home.
